Our team, which was small at the time, sought a unique project that would maximize our creative potential without extensive resources. Brain Test was ideal because it allowed us to design original puzzles that were not only challenging but also could be developed with minimalistic, yet striking graphics.

Before the popularity of Brain Test, there weren't 100s of Brain Test-like games on the mobile market as we can see today. Outside the mobile market, we were inspired by some classic puzzle and riddle games, often dubbed 'moron or stupid tests', known for their tricky questions.

Balancing difficulty was challenging throughout both the pre and post-release phases. Levels that were too hard led to player loss as they were unable to complete such levels, while overly easy levels bored them into quitting. To find the right balance, we analyzed early funnel data and reviewed every player feedback. Achieving this balance demanded lots of work from our team, but it was essential for the game.

While I can’t disclose many details, players can wait for new levels coming with Brain Test 1, 2, and 4. There is also a new Brain Test coming out with dozens of new levels. Each version further optimises the gameplay experience, promising even higher-quality puzzles.

Creating a Brain Test game that allows players to solve puzzles in various ways and shape the story through their choices would be an exciting. However, such a project would require at least ten times more development time compared to our previous iterations.
